WandaVision Episode Five

Who else got chills when Wanda emerged from the Hex and started speaking with her accent and basically threatened S.W.O.R.D?

As always, this is not a full review.

On a Very Special Episode…

“Wanda addresses Vision’s worries when he grows suspicious of the neighbors’ strange behavior” – Summary from Disney+

Agnes Broke Character

Agnes broke character for the first time and asks Wanda if she should take it from the top. Why isn’t Wanda questioning that she just broke the fourth wall and started to talk to her out of character? Does Agnes know this is not real? Does everyone else act that way? Or is she the only one that can break character and be self-aware, and it’s ok?

The Show Got Real Dark Real Fast

The opening was kind of depressing. I never liked to watch those kinds of shows back in the day because it’s too wholesome sad for me.

Monica’s description of mind control was unsettling. She said that it was excruciating and terrifying. I can only imagine how scary it must be to have someone in your head controlling you and telling you what to do when to do it, and how to do it. But it seems to me that Monica resisted most of the mind control, which means that it was more painful for her because she was fighting against Wanda for control over her own mind.

So about Wanda stealing vision’s body from S.W.O.R.D so she could resurrect him, I had to watch this scene twice. Like, she was in so much sorrow that she went to S.W.O.R.D facilities to take his body so that she can resurrect him. But I wonder if he can survive outside of the Hex.

S.W.O.R.D is Painting Wanda as a Villain

S.W.O.R.D is creating this narrative without much information. To them, Wanda is a terrorist; in reality, she is grieving. She has lost everyone that she loves. Wanda is not going against vision’s wishes by turning him into a weapon. Where did that even come from Hayward? Wanda wants to build a life with the person she loves. There is no ill intent behind this.
