New York Comic Con 2019

The Most Interesting, Exhausting, and Expensive Three Days of My Life

vlog: 191003 – 191005 New York Comic Con 2019 [VLOG]

[ OCTOBER 3RD – 5TH , 2020 ]

So I decided to go to New York Comic Con for three days………

Let’s just say that it was the most interesting three days of my life.

In the past, I have only gone to Comic-Con for 2 days due to personal restraints (school). Since I was in my last semester in college and had a VERY chill schedule (that I miss dearly) I decided to go to NYCC 2019 for three days straight because I didn’t know what the future had in store for me so I jumped at this chance.

I’m glad I did because NYCC 2020 is looking very iffy.

New York Comic Con 2019 was held at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City from October 3 – 6, 2019. I attended Thursday – Saturday.

I had more fun this year because anime came back to the main convention. Last year Anime artists and panels were held at a separate location.

Day One: Thursday

I BARELY remember Thursday because I ate something bad, got sick, and had to leave early. I couldn’t fully enjoy the day. BUT I want to say that the staff at the Javitis Center/ NYCC were super nice and helpful. They made sure I made it to first aid and they helped me and made sure I was feeling okay before I went back out into the convention center.

From what I can remember I just spent the day browsing artist alley and the exhibition hall.

Day Two: Friday

I attended the My Hero Academia Panel at the Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden.

Guests included the English voice actors Justin Briner (Deku), Ricco Fajardo (Mirio), Kellen Goff (Overhaul), Justin Cook (Kirishima), and Colleen Clinkenbeard (ADR Director/Yaoyorozu). They also screened portions of the first few episodes of season four.

Stream My Hero Academia on Funimation & Crunchyroll

Day Three: Saturday

I bought Super M tickets while waiting in line to get into comic con at 10 am.

Peak multifandom trash.

After that stressful experience, I crawled my way through artist alley and the exhibition hall for the rest of the day.

As stressful as NYCC 2019 was in some ways, it was very chill. I took my time looking at everything and enjoying being surrounded by my fellow nerds.
